In correction probation is a universally acclaimed service for readjustment and rehabilitation of the forative offernders in the society. Underscoring such importance Bangladesh Government took up it up as a national program under the administration of the Department of Social welfare. This program being one of the earliest ones has advised to very little success. It has been attempted to unravel the circumstances behind this law particularly in reference to Bangladesh conditions
